The MOSAIC Story

Some ideas don’t arrive fully formed. They sit quietly in your heart for years, waiting for the right people, the right timing, the right alignment.

MOSAIC is that kind of idea.

A Dream That Started Years Ago

MOSAIC: a Summit for Girls was a dream my friend Kristy Boyles carried long before it ever had a name. Years ago, when our daughters were playing soccer together, our friendship began. The kind rooted in sidelines and shared hopes for the girls we were raising.

Last year, Kristy pulled her long-time friend Brittany Pasut into that dream and began bringing MOSAIC for Girls to life. When I first heard about it, I had to know more. Not just because I wanted my girls there, but because this vision echoed something I had quietly carried for years myself: creating intentional space not just for girls, but for moms, too.

After a lunch with Kristy (which is also when I met Brittany) back in September, something clicked quickly. The energy, the alignment, the shared heartbeat behind what we wanted for families… it was immediate. And that afternoon, when Kristy called to invite me to join their partnership and create, design, and lead a mom track for a newly refined MOSAIC that would integrate mothers too, I felt honored, humbled, and completely lit up.

The Snow We Didn’t Plan For

We originally set our sights on February 1.

And then came the snow forecasts.

For a full week, we agonized over the decision. Refreshing weather apps, watching Brad Panovich on the news every hour, hoping the storm would shift. Postponing felt heartbreaking. The momentum was building. The excitement was real. We knew how much families were looking forward to it.

But when we hesitantly made the call to move MOSAIC to March 1, it turned out to be the right one. Eleven inches of snow followed, blanketing Charlotte in a way we couldn’t ignore, and in hindsight, we were grateful we weren’t asking families to navigate icy roads to get to us.

The delay did slow some of the momentum. Schedules shifted. Conflicts arose. Not everyone could make the new date, and that truly mattered to us.

We are so grateful to the families who pivoted with us, and equally grateful to those who tried but simply couldn’t make it work. Life is full, and we understand that deeply.

The energy, though? It never disappeared. It’s building again.

Expanding the Vision

As we moved into this new date, we continued building something bigger than any of us imagined alone.

I designed a day for moms that weaves together everything I’ve loved creating through Growing Our Girls: meaningful conversation, expert insight, intentional reflection, practical tools, and the kind of connection that reminds you you’re not alone in this season of motherhood.

And I’ve been blown away by the collaborators who stepped forward.

Guest speakers.
Expert table facilitators.
Sponsors supporting behind the scenes.

Women and leaders who believe deeply in investing in both moms and girls.

In parallel, Kristy and Brittany have enrolled incredible mentors who will guide these girls through one of the most empowering experiences they’ve ever had. Conversations about confidence, identity, resilience, friendship, and leadership in a way that feels relevant and safe.

A Day Designed Just for Them

What makes MOSAIC so special is this:

Moms and girls each get a day designed specifically for where they are.

Girls will dive into the topics shaping their world right now.
Moms will gather in a space that strengthens, equips, and refreshes them.

Separate tracks. Shared mission.
And the kind of impact that ripples long after the event ends.

This is, without question, the work I am most proud of since creating Growing Our Girls.

Because it’s not just content.
It’s not just a workshop.
It’s not just a gathering.

It’s a foundation we’re building for our Charlotte community and one that I truly believe will become a staple in the years to come. And this is only the beginning. It will get better. It will grow. It will deepen.

We are beyond grateful for those who will be part of our inaugural event, and already excited for the families we’ll meet at future MOSAICs.

If you’re joining us on March 1, thank you. Your yes means more than you know.

And if you’ve been considering it, we have just a few seats remaining. We would love to have you there.
