Kristin Mountcastle,
Founder of Growing Our Girls
I’ve always been fascinated by what makes people and teams thrive. That curiosity led me to earn my Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and dedicate nearly a decade to organizational development and HR consulting for industries in Charlotte. During that time, I gained valuable experience guiding groups through transformation, designing programs that foster connection, and creating meaningful learning experiences.
As a mom of three daughters, I’ve seen firsthand the power of women coming together and the potential within each girl. After the birth of my second daughter in 2015, I envisioned a platform to empower the girls I was raising — and over the years, that vision has grown to include their moms, too. In 2023, I finally brought my dream to life and founded Growing Our Girls, a space where families can explore topics like confidence, leadership, mental health, and digital safety. Through workshops, retreats, and community events, we blend research-backed strategies with shared experiences to help girls and the women raising them navigate the tween and teen years with connection, confidence, and joy.
Whether I’m guiding a corporate team through a major transformation or facilitating a hands-on conversation between moms and daughters, my approach centers on clarity, connection, and community. My mission is to take some of the fear and overwhelm out of growing up today, helping girls and their families embrace challenges, cultivate resilience, and celebrate growth—together.
